How tretinoin cream works

If you are someone who deals with skin problems, then Tretinoin Cream may be a fantastic solution. Tretinoin Cream can deal with a myriad of issues, such as skin irritation, rashes, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, and other types of dermatological and cosmetic skin problems.

Much of the problem has to do with the high level of exposure to toxins, free radicals, and other abuses that our skin must deal with on a daily basis.  Especially for folks who have sensitive skin, this issue is compounded, which is one reason why many fairer-skinned persons tend to have problems with eczema and psoriasis.  In addition, hard water can have a devastating effect on the skin, drying it out, leaving it devoid of necessary moisture.

Tretinoin Cream works, not by reversing the process, but by speeding up the ability for your skin to regenerate, bringing the newer and healthier cells to the surface, while also removing old, unhealthy, and dead skin cells from the uppermost layer.

What is tretinoin cream?

Tretinoin Cream is basically a topical dermatological medication that contains Vitamin-A as the active ingredient.  In addition, the Tretinoin Cream can come in the form of a gel.  A physician or dermatologist would be able to tell which form of Tretinoin Cream is better for handling your skin problems.  Often times, the gel form is better with saturation with Vitamin-A and covering larger areas of skin, whereas the cream tends to be more effective at breaking down surface cells and applications in small areas.

How does tretinoin cream works

Tretinoin Cream works in two phases: the first phase breaks down surface cells, and the second infuses the newer healthy skin cells with Vitamin-A or retinol.

Phase one acts like a chemical peel.  The Tretinoin Cream basically goes to work, chemically breaking down the surface skin cells that are weak, damaged, or dead.  These top-layer cells are usually the ones that harbor toxins and other substances that cause reactions, which is the main reason why Tretinoin Cream removes them.

Phase two essentially makes the Tretinoin Cream go to work by applying Vitamin-A (retinol) into the new, healthy cells that have not yet been exposed to abuse.

One factor to certainly keep in mind is that you need to protect yourself from sun exposure, which is why it is absolutely necessary to wear sunscreen.  New skin cells are very sensitive to sunlight, meaning that severe sunburn can happen rather quickly.  Be sure to follow your doctor’s instructions when applying Tretinoin Cream.
